Title: QuickBooks Error 10004

QuickBooks Error 10004

QuickBooks Error 10004 is usually caused by a connectivity issue when QuickBooks is unable to connect to your bank’s website. This error can also occur when you try to add a bank account or update your banking information in QuickBooks.

Error -10004 is a privilege violation error, which means you are doing something with a file that is not allowed. You are probably not allowed to remove the file and shell script commands should always be used outside tell application blocks. The problem is that the target application may run as a different user than the script. I’m not saying it’s a bug but there’s a chance it’s the problem. Otherwise, you don’t have enough privileges and you need to ask the user for administrator privileges.

Here are some steps you can follow to resolve this error:

Check your internet connection: Make sure you have a stable internet connection and that there are no connectivity issues.

Check your bank’s website: Make sure your bank’s website is up and running. You can check by logging into your bank’s website using your web browser.

Update QuickBooks: Make sure your QuickBooks software is up to date. You can check for updates by going to the Help menu and selecting Update QuickBooks.

Clear cache and cookies: Clear your browser’s cache and cookies and try logging into your bank’s website again.

Add your bank account manually: If you’re still having trouble, try adding your bank account manually in QuickBooks. Go to the Banking menu, select Add Account, and follow the on-screen instructions.
