QuickBooks POS Error 193 While attempting to transmit a mailbox from the head office to a distant shop, or to receive a mailbox at the remote store, the following error appears:

Error: Primary key 193 for department keywords is not unique.

Error: 193 The primary key for the “Customer Rewards” table is not unique.

why is this happening

There are duplicate department names or codes
Customer names have been removed or merged
There is corruption in the customer list in the remote store.
how to fix it

Make sure Point of Sale is updated to the latest version and try again. If the error persists:

QuickBooks POS Error 193 Troubleshooting Methods

FIRST METHOD:

Go to REPORTS
Run a customer list report
Double click on the first customer
Once the client opens, click View List at the top
This will open the Customer List in the older version v 9
Press the CTRL + A keys to highlight them all. Once all customers are highlighted in light blue, choose I want to, Delete customer(s)
On the HQ server system, select File, Utilities, Forward Files
Click Resend
Receive the mail bag at the remote store.
intuitive method:

From the remote store receiving the error, send a mailbag to headquarters, and then receive it.
Again from the remote store, select Customers > Customer List.
One at a time, click I want and select Delete until the list is empty. Do not be alarmed; The main customer records are located at Headquarters and will be forwarded.
If you have too many clients to click on one at a time:

Version 10 and 2013: Click the first client in the list, press Shift, and then click the last client in the list.
Version 9: Press the CTRL + A keys to highlight them all.
At headquarters, select File > Utilities > Forward Files.
Click Resend.
Receive the forwarding mail folder in the remote store.

To solve this problem:

Choose Inventory > Department List.
Examine the list and locate any duplication of departments or codes.
Edit any of those departments and change the department name or code to make it unique.
Delete the contents of the subfolders of the StEx folder on the headquarters and all remote computers:
Right-click the Windows Start button and choose Explore.
Navigate in the left window to the location: C: Documents and Settings All Users Application Data Intuit QuickBooks Point of Sale 6.0 StExError. To navigate, click the plus sign (+) next to each folder in the list.
If this folder exists, right-click each file in this folder and choose Delete. Confirm the deletion.
Navigate in the left window to the location: C: Documents and Settings All Users Application Data Intuit QuickBooks Point of Sale 6.0 StExHistory.
Right-click each file in this folder and choose Delete. Confirm the deletion.
Navigate in the left window to the location: C:Documents and SettingsAll UsersApplication DataIntuitQuickBooks Point of Sale 6.0StExIn.
Right-click each file in this folder and choose Delete. Confirm the deletion.
Navigate in the left window to the location: C:Documents and SettingsAll UsersApplication DataIntuitQuickBooks Point of Sale 6.0StExOut.
Right-click each file in this folder and choose Delete. Confirm the deletion.
Close this window.
Re-create and resend the mail folder. The error will not be repeated.

Windows Vista

To solve this problem:
